North Carolina Taxidermist, Christopher Trout is regarded as one of the
premier whitetail taxidermists in the country. He has mastered the modern trend
of using dental acrylic to cast the entire open mouth of a whitetail. The dental
acrylic phenomenon has quickly surpassed any of the old casting methods used by
whitetail competitors. The details of the casting are truly life-like and
unbelievable. Chris is flying from North Carolina just to teach and share his
years of knowledge with the OKTA. You might not be interested in molding and
casting an open mouth whitetail, but the knowledge gained from this seminar can
be applied to any of your molding and casting projects. The deer pictured above
blue ribboned at the 2009 National Convention in Huntsville, AL. Chris has also
won several best of categories, special awards, and blue ribbons at many shows,
including OH, NC, VA, and Sury Community College. If you want to bump up
your whitetail competition scores a few points and compete on a National level
then this is definitely a seminar you don't want to miss.
What is the cost for such an event? If you are a member of the OKTA, a
donation to the Special Auction will get you in the door. Any item a taxidermists
would be interested is good enough to get you a set to see the all-day workshop
with Christopher Trout. So load up those old taxidermy, fishing, and hunting
supplies you no longer use, and donate them to the auction. If you are not a
current member of the OKTA, you can join the morning of the event. The OKTA
hopes everyone can come to out to the FOP Hall, March 20, to see this special
OKTA event.
