| Spring Meeting News The OKTA membership voted upon and passed a special memorial award in recognition of the passing of David Cowley. The David Cowley Memorial Award will be given to a bird in competiton and chosen by his closest friends Jim Pitts and Mickey Bowman. The OKTA membership voted upon and passed a new special award for any competitor bringing 4 or more mounts. The award will be known as the Competitors Challange Award, and the criteria is listed below. It will be presented for the first time at the 2008 convention in OKC 1. Any competitor bringing 4 or more mounts to competition is eligible. There is no extra entry fee. 2. The competitors 4 highest scoring piece will be used to figure a cumulative point total. 3. The competior with the highest point total is the Competitors Challange Award recepient. 4. Competitors may enter any combination of categories. Collective Artist and Original Art are not eligible categories because there is not points awarded. 5. Mounts entered in the Amatuer division are not eliglible for the award. 6. Judges are tie breakers. Any nominations for the McKenzie Award need to be given to Janell Reid (405) 224-7819. Any nominations for the Member of the Year Award needs to be given to Alan Broerse (405)-642-1825. If you would like to run for an officer or board position, contact Alan Broerse.
