Participants and Mounts
Twelve participants competed in the State Mounting Contest in OKC, Jan. 19th.  There were nearly 50 members in attendance.   People's choice voting was overwhelmingly in favor of Andy Campbell's strutting turkey.  Joel Trammell's velvet buck was the competition's runner-up.  This was the 5th such contest that the OKTA has sponsored and Joel has either won or finished runner up in every event.

The winter business meeting was brief.  Committees read reports, and the board accepted the resignation of Jarrod Johnson from his officer postion.  (Family/meeting conflict scheduling).  Joel Trammell was moved from the board into the vacated officer's position, and board alternate Steve Abbot of Newcastle was moved onto the board.  These are both temorary positions until the 2008 convention conclusion.  The auction earned $625 to help off set the cost of the spring all day workshop.
